Curating is the process of carefully selecting piercings and jewelry that best fit your unique anatomy, aesthetic preference, and lifestyle. Whether you’re looking for a full ear curation or assistance styling just one piercing, we’re here for you!
Every piercing appointment has time scheduled into it for consultation. Some clients have a really good idea of they want before their appointment while others need a bit more advice. We’re excited to help you either way!
What does the curation process look like?
• Do I need to do anything to prepare?
- It’s not a bad idea to have a basic idea of the jewelry you like, if there are any specific piercings you know you do or do not want, and if you want to plan a theme. For example, you want yellow gold with opals, you dislike helix piercings, and you want a floral theme.

• How long will it take?
- Most piercings take 6 months to a year to heal and you don’t want to heal too many at a time. We’ll pierce one ear at a time so that you can still sleep comfortably on the other ear while healing. A single ear curation can be completed in the timespan of a couple of months to over a year depending on the number of piercings you would like, your individual healing process, and your budget.
• How much will it cost?
- Ear curations will vary in price quite significantly based on the number of piercings you get and the jewelry you select. If you have a set budget during your appointment please let us know and we’ll do our best to show you pieces within your desired price range.Â
• How many piercings can I get in one appointment?
- This will vary based on the type of piercing and your lifestyle. We can perform 3-5 piercings in one appointment. Starting off with 2-3 piercings at your first appointment is often ideal. Your piercer will help walk you through the best timeline for your curation. Â
• Can I have help upgrading the jewelry in my existing piercings?
- Absolutely! Many of our clients choose to either start by upgrading all of their jewelry or upgrade their jewelry in between healing piercings. Upgrading the jewelry in your existing piercings helps to put together a more cohesive curation but if you have jewelry you want to plan your curation around we’re happy to help you find the perfect pieces to match!
• Do you offer curation and styling appointments for piercings not on the ear?
- Definitely! We offer a variety of appointments from a full ear curation to a styling appointment for your existing piercings.Â
