About Our Jewelry

• Our primary selection of gold is 14k but we do have a smaller selection of 18k ends. Some of the brands we work with will make their jewelry in both 14k and 18k so if you would like to place a custom order for a piece in 18k we’re happy to help!

• We do not stock any gold plated or gold filled jewelry.

• All of the jewelry we carry is nickel free and polished to a mirror finish making it perfect for both fresh and healed piercings and great for sensitive skin. 

• The jewelry brands we work with offer a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty against defect and damage. Jewelry lost or damaged due to negligence is not covered under warranty. If you have a piece of jewelry that is damaged, please send us an email to avapiercing@gmail.com or fill out a contact form below and we will help you with the repair process. 

• We are happy to provide documentation regarding the jewelry materials that we carry.

All of the brands we work with meet the standards set in place by the Association of Professional Piercers.

Our inventory changes on a very regular basis so we cannot guarantee that we have any specific pieces of jewelry in stock or any specific brand in stock at the time of your appointment.

• Our jewelry inventory changes of a regular basis and we typically rotate colored, natural gem with the seasons. • Nearly all of the cubic zirconia that we carry is Swarovski

• All of the titanium we carry is ASTM F-136 implant grade titanium. 

• We have a minimal selection of decorative titanium jewelry but do use titanium for the backings of most piercings. 

• All of the jewelry we carry is nickel free and polished to a mirror finish to allow for the safest possible healing process. We only carry jewelry that works great for those with sensitive skin. 

• All of the jewelry we work with comes with a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty against defect and damage. Jewelry lost or damaged due to negligence is not covered under warranty. • We are happy to provide documentation regarding the jewelry materials that we carry. 

• We do not stock any externally threaded jewelry

• We do not stock any butterfly back style jewelry

• All of the straight jewelry we carry (also called studs, labrets, barbells) is either internally threaded or threadless. See below for photos

• We stock a variety of ring/hoop styles but our primary selection is seam rings. We occasionally stock clickers. See below for photos

• Below you can find a diagram explaining how various styles of jewelry work

• All of the jewelry we carry is implant grade, nickel free, and safe to be pierced with as long as the size and style are appropriate for the piercing and your anatomy

• We do not have specific “starter” jewelry. You will have the option to pick from a huge variety of jewelry when you get pierced. If you’d like to browse before your appointment, check out our web-store or schedule a jewelry browsing appointment

• We do not pierce with simple seam rings or clickers due to the likelihood of the seam spinning through the healing piercing channel. Instead we can pierce with any of our decorative seam rings and fixed bead rings 

• We do not offer piercings with rings except for septum and daith piercings but are happy to help you install a ring once your piercing is healed!

We not only work with the highest quality jewelry manufacturer’s but we also strive to only work with companies who have the highest ethical practices. All of the jewelry brands that we work with provide us with documentation proving the safety of the materials they work with, source ethical natural gemstones and/or lab created gemstones, and have ethical work practices. We have a zero tolerance policy for any substandard practices including but not limited to fair employee treatment, environmentally friendly practices, and overall respect for the piercing industry and our clients.
